A trial run of the steam boiler was performed at the Primorskaya TPP. This is a key stage of commissioning of power unit No. 1 to put it into operation. This was reported by the press service of Inter RAO - Engineering.
During the trial run, the ignition of the boiler firing fuel oil was fine-tuned, and the operability of main and auxiliary systems equipment, instrumentation, remote and automatic control devices, process protection devices, unit locks during start-up was checked. While performing the works, no internal defects of the system were detected, its operability was fully confirmed, which enables the specialists of Inter RAO - Engineering to proceed with steam blowdown of utility boiler superheaters and pipelines of power unit No.1.
Currently, the whole package of works is being performed in the buildings and premises of the power plant: erection of boiler steel structures, installation of pumping station equipment, crusher, conveyors gallery. In the fuel storage a dust shield is being installed and bentonite (modern waterproofing material) mats are being laid. The construction of railways and on-site roads is in progress.
The Primorskaya TPP for 195 MW consists of three steam power plants with a unit capacity of generating equipment of 65 MW. Each power unit includes a steam turbine manufactured by the Urals Turbine Plant (Ekaterinburg), a turbine generator (ELSIB, Novosibirsk) and a steam boiler E-240-13.8-560 KT (PK-114) (Machine Building Factory of Podolsk, Moscow Region).
Coal will be the main fuel for the Primorskaya TPP. The construction of the plant will make it possible to diversify the fuel mix of the Kaliningrad energy system to reduce its energy production dependence on natural gas supplies. ThegeneralcontractorisInter RAO - Engineering.
